Inspection of plano optics and optical filters with highest accuracy

Various filters and flat optics are used in photography, machine vision, automotive, microscopy and mobile devices. These contribute to the optical performance of the overall system, and must have a sufficiently well transmitted wavefront. Due to the simple referencing option of the wavefront measurement station through a blank measurement, flat optics can be measured both easily and with an accuracy of up to 2nm RMS.

SHSInspect optics testing stations allow for a flexible alignment of the testing wavelength, thus enabling measurements at different wavelengths without additional effort. In addition to the Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor, vision control cameras integrated in the device deliver high-resolution images of the flat window under test, e.g. for the visual inspection of scratches or inclusions.

Wavefront solutions for testing plano windows and optical filters

Systems and modules of the SHSInspect family measure the transmitted wavefront, PSF and MTF. Moreover, they provide information on chromatic aberrations and polarization effects, and detect visual defects.
